Bed & Breakfast

Bosvathick House and Gardens offers a B&B in a house filled with two centuries of history.

Bosvathick is a privately owned small country estate in Cornwall, between Falmouth and Constantine. It is a grade II listed Georgian house, built in 1760 by the same family that still resides there, The House was substantially extended in Victorian times and has 10 acres of gardens with a lake and parkland beyond.

This historic Cornish B&B accommodation is close to the south Cornish coast in an area of outstanding natural beauty, within very easy reach of numerous creeks, estuaries and beaches. Near the north bank of the Helford River, Bosvathick House B & B is well situated for visiting some of the loveliest gardens and other historic houses in Cornwall.

It’s a wonderfully quiet place, being hidden in the heart of the countryside, surrounded by 10 acres of gardens including a 3/4 acre lake, home to several breeding pairs of duck, geese, moorhen and grebe and with a wonderful sweeping drive.

Come and enjoy our bed and breakfast in these beautiful and peaceful surroundings, either in winter or summer, though spring sees Cornwall at its very best. B & B Guests are very welcome to roam through the gardens when staying with us.

Our Accommodation

We have two twin/superking bedrooms, one in the Victorian wing, with adjacent bathroom and the other on the Georgian south front, with a more distant bathroom (bathrobes are provided). This bedroom has a lovely view, with the scent of jasmine and wisteria in season wafting in from the outside wall. Other rooms include a double room with king size bed and an adjoining twin bedded room and bathroom, which, together make a family suite. We also have two single bedrooms with a bathroom or shower room nearby. The double bedrooms have Smart TVs, while the single rooms have standard flatscreen TVs. There is disabled access to the bedrooms via a stairlift. We never let all bedrooms at the same time in order to ensure privacy and comfort for our visitors.

We have a piano and two guitars in the drawing room, which we encourage guests to play.  The house has oil-fired central heating throughout and we have a log fire for cooler evenings.

WIFI is available throughout.

We welcome children of all ages and can provide high chairs and cots. In the gardens we have a slide and a big hedge maze or labyrinth.

We provide a traditional English breakfast in the dining room amongst family portraits dating back 200 years.  Breakfast includes pure orange juice, cereals, fruit compote, fresh fruit, organic yogurt, home made bread, home made marmalade, and locally sourced where possible.  We can cater for special diets if requested in advance.  We are also happy to provide supper for guests – cost: £44 – though please bring your own wine.
